Introduction

Acetam is a medication that contains the active ingredient Levetiracetam. It is also known by its generic name, Levetiracetam.

Uses

Acetam is prescribed to manage certain types of seizures in patients with epilepsy. It is used as an adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial-onset seizures, myoclonic seizures, and primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in adults and children.

Dosage and Administration

The dosage of Acetam is individualized based on the patient’s age, weight, and kidney function. It is administered intravenously over a period of 15 minutes to 60 minutes. The healthcare provider will determine the appropriate dosage and administration schedule for each patient.

Mechanism of Action
