Clintor A Cream

Introduction

Clintor A contains the active ingredients Adapalene and Clindamycin. It is commonly prescribed under the brand name Clintor A and is primarily used for the topical treatment of acne vulgaris.

Uses

Clintor A is indicated for the treatment of acne vulgaris, which includes comedones, papules, pustules, and nodules.

Dosage and Administration

For adults and adolescents, a thin layer of Clintor A should be applied to the affected areas once daily in the evening, after washing and drying the skin. Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, and mucous membranes.

Mechanism of Action

Adapalene, a retinoid, works by normalizing the differentiation of follicular epithelial cells, leading to decreased microcomedone formation. Clindamycin, an antibiotic, inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, thereby reducing the proliferation of Propionibacterium acnes.

Side Effects

Common side effects may include dryness, redness, and scaling of the skin. Serious side effects are rare but may include severe skin irritation or allergic reactions. If any serious side effects occur, immediate medical attention is advised.

Drug Interactions

Clintor A may interact with other topical and systemic medications used for the treatment of acne. Consult a healthcare professional before using other topical products concurrently.

Precautions

Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Adapalene, Clindamycin, or any component of the formulation should avoid using Clintor A. Additionally, caution should be exercised when using this medication alongside other topical or oral acne treatments.

Storage

Clintor A should be stored at room temperature (between 20-25°C) and protected from excessive heat and light. Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use.
