Human Normal Immunoglobulin, Histamine Dihydrochloride, Sodium Thiosulphate
Human Normal Immunoglobulin (HNIG) is a purified protein derived from the plasma of healthy donors. It is a combination medication that also includes Histamine Dihydrochloride and Sodium Thiosulphate. HNIG is used for the treatment of primary immunodeficiency disorders, such as immunoglobulin A (IgA) deficiency, which impairs the immune system’s ability to fight infections. Histamine Dihydrochloride, a histamine analogue, is included to stimulate the production of antibodies by the immune system. Sodium Thiosulphate, an antidote for cyanide poisoning, is used to treat the side effects of HNIG administration, such as hypersensitivity reactions and anaphylaxis. The combination of these medications provides a comprehensive treatment approach for patients with primary immunodeficiency disorders, enhancing their immune response and reducing the risk of infections.
