Levocetirizine, Montelukast

Levocetirizine and Montelukast are combination medications used to alleviate symptoms associated with allergies and respiratory conditions. Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that works by blocking histamine receptors, reducing allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itching, and runny nose. Montelukast, on the other hand, is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that prevents the effects of leukotrienes, which are inflammatory substances produced by the body during an allergic reaction.
This combination medication is effective in treating symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, itching, and nasal congestion. It also helps to alleviate symptoms of asthma, like wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness, by reducing inflammation in the airways. Levocetirizine and Montelukast can be used in both adults and children over the age of 6, providing a convenient and effective solution to managing allergy and asthma-related symptoms.
