Carbazochrome
Carbazochrome is a combination medication that contains three active ingredients: carbazochrome sodium, sodium edetate, and sodium citrate. This medication is designed to relieve pain and discomfort caused by minor injuries, such as cuts, bruises, and burns.
The main component, carbazochrome sodium, is a local anesthetic that works by temporarily blocking nerve signals in the affected area, numbing the pain and reducing inflammation. Sodium edetate, on the other hand, helps to prevent the formation of calcium deposits, which can lead to skin hardening and other complications. Finally, sodium citrate aids in maintaining the medication’s pH balance, ensuring it is safe and effective for use on sensitive skin.
Carbazochrome is typically applied as a topical cream or ointment, and it is usually administered three to four times a day. The medication should be applied thinly and evenly to the affected area, avoiding contact with the eyes, mouth, and other mucous membranes.
Follow the instructions provided by your healthcare professional when using carbazochrome. If you experience any unusual side effects or if your condition worsens, consult your healthcare provider immediately.
