Domperidone, Dexrabeprazole

Domperidone Dexrabeprazole is a combination medication that consists of two components: Domperidone, a gastrointestinal prokinetic agent, and Dexrabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor.
Domperidone works by increasing the motility of the gastrointestinal tract and blocking dopamine receptors in the chest and stomach area. This allows for faster gastric emptying and can alleviate symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and bloating.
Dexrabeprazole is a potent inhibitor of the proton pump in gastric parietal cells, which reduces gastric acid production. This can be beneficial in treating various conditions like gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, and Helicobacter pylori infection.
The combination of Domperidone and Dexrabeprazole offers a comprehensive approach to managing gastrointestinal symptoms by addressing both the underlying motility issues and acid production. This combination medication is often used for patients experiencing severe nausea and vomiting, such as those undergoing cancer therapy or post-surgical procedures.
