Levosulpiride, Pantoprazole
Levosulpiride, Pantoprazole is a combined medication that consists of two active substances: Levosulpiride and Pantoprazole. Levosulpiride is an antagonist at the 5-HT4 receptor, which stimulates the release of gut hormones and inhibits stomach acid secretion. It is primarily used for the treatment of functional dyspepsia and gastroparesis, as it helps to increase gastric motility, promote stomach emptying, and alleviate gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal bloating, discomfort, and pain.
On the other hand, Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), which works by decreasing the amount of acid produced by the stomach. This component is effective in managing a variety of upper gastrointestinal conditions including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease (PUD), and pathological hypersecretory conditions like Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome.
Together, these two substances create a powerful, synergistic treatment that effectively alleviates a wide range of stomach-related issues and helps improve quality of life for individuals experiencing discomfort and distress due to digestive problems. By combining the gastric motility-enhancing and acid-suppressing properties of Levosulpiride and Pantoprazole, the medication offers a comprehensive solution to chronic gastrointestinal symptoms that may not be resolved with other standard treatments.
