Fungal infections

Fungal infections are caused by a group of microscopic organisms called fungi. These infections can affect various parts of the body, including the skin, nails, hair, lungs, and mouth. The most common symptoms include redness, itching, flaking, or peeling of the affected area. Some common fungal infections include Athlete’s Foot, Ringworm, and Oral Thrush.
Typical Medications:

Antifungal Creams/Ointments: These topical treatments are applied directly to the skin or nails and work by killing the fungus and reducing inflammation. Examples include Clotrimazole, Miconazole, and Terbinafine.
Oral Antifungal Medications: These medications are taken by mouth and are effective in treating systemic fungal infections or those that cannot be treated with topical agents. Examples include Fluconazole, Itraconazole, and Voriconazole.
Antifungal Shampoos: Specifically designed for fungal infections of the scalp, these shampoos contain antifungal agents that kill the fungi and reduce inflammation. Examples include Ketoconazole and Selenium Sulfide.
