Diphtheria Toxoid, Tetanus Toxoid, Pertussis Toxoid
Diphtheria Toxoid, Tetanus Toxoid, and Pertussis Toxoid is a combination vaccine, also known as DTaP. It is used for immunizing children against three severe bacterial infections – Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis (whooping cough). This vaccine contains toxins inactivated or killed, preventing the body from developing dangerous antibodies while still provoking an immune response. DTaP vaccine is administered in a series of injections over time to ensure long-lasting immunity, beginning from infancy and extending through childhood and adolescence. This vaccine is crucial to reduce the prevalence of these life-threatening diseases and maintain overall public health.
