Ciclesonide, Formoterol
Ciclesonide and Formoterol is a combination medication used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma in individuals with reversible obstructive airway disease. Ciclesonide is an inhaled corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the airways, while Formoterol is a long-acting beta-agonist (LABA) that relaxes and opens the airways, making it easier to breathe.
This medication is available in an inhaler form and is typically prescribed for patients whose symptoms are not adequately controlled with other medications. Use Ciclesonide and Formoterol as directed by your healthcare provider, and not to increase or decrease the dosage without their guidance.
Some common side effects of Ciclesonide and Formoterol include throat irritation, cough, headache, and muscle cramps. Consult your healthcare provider if you experience any side effects that persist or worsen. Additionally, inform your healthcare provider if you have a history of heart problems, high blood pressure, or seizures before starting this medication.
Ciclesonide and Formoterol should not be used in patients with severe asthma attacks or in those who are hypersensitive to any of its components. Patients should also avoid using this medication with other medications containing long-acting beta-agonists, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
