Toba F Eye Drop

Introduction

Dosage and Administration

It is typically recommended to instill one to two drops into the affected eye(s) every four to six hours. Follow the instructions provided by your healthcare provider and not exceed the prescribed dosage.

Mechanism of Action

Tobramycin, one of the active ingredients in Toba F, works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria, thereby helping to eliminate the infection. Fluorometholone, the other active ingredient, reduces inflammation by inhibiting the production of certain chemicals in the body that cause inflammation.

Patient Tips

• Wash your hands before using Toba F to prevent contamination.
• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket. Gently squeeze the bottle to instill the recommended number of drops into the eye(s).
• Avoid touching the tip of the dropper to any surface to prevent contamination.
• If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using the eye drops. Wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting your contact lenses.
• If you are using other eye medications, wait at least 5 minutes between using different eye drops.
