Apixaban

Apixaban is an anticoagulant medication that belongs to a class of drugs known as direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs). It is used to prevent blood clots from forming in the body, which can lead to serious conditions such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and stroke.
Apixaban is particularly effective in patients with atrial fibrillation, a heart condition characterized by an irregular and often rapid heart rate.
