Pirfenidone

Pirfenidone 267 mg oral tablets are a prescription medicine used to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a chronic lung disease marked by scarring of the lung tissues. This condition leads to severe shortness of breath, cough, fatigue, and a decline in overall lung function. Pirfenidone works by reducing the production of excess collagen, a protein that causes scar tissue formation in the lungs, thereby slowing down the progression of IPF.
